Keep Aries from dying:

This trick is not very easy to do, and requires a lot of patience. The first thing you must do is pretend like you LOVE Aries though out the entire game (giving Tifa the cold shoulder, and taking Aries over Tifa…you get the idea). The next thing you must do is get ALL 3 characters in your group (including Aries - she MUST be in your group at all possible times) up to, or past level 70. Now, when you face Sephiroth, where he normally kills Aries with his sword, she will not be killed and you will be able to use her through the rest of the game! NOTE: this may only work in the JAPANESE version of the game, I haven't tried to do it with my AMERICAN copy yet, but if it doesn't work…don't blame me…..you were warned.

How to beat the Underwater Titan (AKA Emerald weapon) and the Dessert Rose (AKA Ruby weapon or Sand weapon)

Sand Weapon is harder than the Underwater weapon. You have to get w-summon and Knights of the Round materia, and a mime materia to defeat Underwater. They BOTH have 1,000,000 hp. After awhile Underwater will open up 4 little gems on his shoulders that take out your HP and MP. just keep hitting him with w-summon & Knights of the Round (which should be linked together in your weapon / armor) and mimes and keep final attack on phoenix - summon so when you die you are resurrected by the phoenix. Sand Weapon is different and more complicated. First, kill off 2 of your guys, leave one alive (the one you want to fight the weapon) and stick him with w-summon, MP absorb attached to Hades, HP absorb attached to Knights of the Round, mimic, and final attack connected to revive (because if you revive all your party members ruby will just take her arms up and kill/suck up 2 guys, maybe leaving your weakest character alive, and life costs less MP). With your first summon use Hades on the arms (which will stop/slow/poison/sleep/god knows what else to them), then use knights on the main body of ruby and keep miming that. It takes a little longer but it really works.

Unlimited Money Trick

Apparently this trick only works in the JAPANESE version of the game…. Go to the first town you find after leaving Midgar (Mancheria). Find the clock in the upper right hand corner of the house and press X while standing in front of it and you will receive a credit card. Use all the money in this card and then get another one by doing the same thing as before. This new card will say it has 0 dollars in it, but it will really be unlimited.
